The medication was developed by a German pharmaceutical company Grunenthal GmbH in 1970’s.
Generic Tramadol is a man-made, narcotic-like pain reliever. The medication is prescribed for the patients suffering from moderate to severe pain and needing to get treatment twenty four hours a day. The medication should be only prescribed by a doctor. The incorrect usage of this medication may lead to harmful and fatal consequences for health.
The maximum dose of generic Tramadol that can be taken per day is 400 mg. Usually, the dose prescribed ranges from 50mg to 100mg to be taken every four or six hours. However, it the recommended starting dose of this medication should be only 25 mg to be taken three times per day. If it is needed, the dose can be increased gradually, in several days.
